Began career in journalism in 1976 with Hulton Press working on automotive industry publications, rising to Managing Editor of the company's automotive trade & industry publications. Elected Chairman, Guild of Motoring Writers in 1987. Joined Fiat SpA UK Representative Office in 1987 as Head of Corporate Communications for UK & Ireland. 2001 nominated Chairman, Fiat UK Ltd, which co-ordinates and represents Fiat Group activities in the UK on behalf of Fiat SpA, the parent holding company headquartered in Turin, Italy. 2002 also appointed Vice President International Corporate Communications, Fiat SpA, Turin, Italy.
